Despite some trepidation about the security ramifications of keeping applications and data outside of the company’s premises, IT managers expect they’ll be heavily invested in cloud computing soon.
In fact, most expect cloud computing to become the primary way IT departments operate.
That’s the finding from a recent IBM survey of 2,000 IT professionals. Among those polled, 91% said that by 2015, cloud computing will overtake on-premise computing as the main way businesses use IT resources.
Those results come shortly after another survey revealed that IT pros don’t trust the cloud will keep their data secure.
