IT professionals are predicting that mobile and cloud computing will be the most in-demand platform by 2015.
This is according to a 2010 IBM Tech Trends Survey, which received feedback from 2,000 IT developers and specialists worldwide.
The survey reported that a whopping 91% of those surveyed expect that cloud computing will start to become the primary way for companies to receive IT services within the next few years.
Also, 55% of IT professionals feel that application development for mobile devices (such as Android, iPhone, etc) will exceed other traditional computing platforms as well.
It’s an interesting trend, as more and more professionals are doing their work outside of the office with their mobile devices rather than their PC. And industry analysts predict that sales of mobile applications and devices will grow to approximately $30 billion by 2013.
