Web browsers recently got an unplanned sneak peek at some new gadgets.
First, tech site Gizmodo posted pictures and a description of what’s reported to be the upcoming iPhone 4. Apparently, the prototype was left behind by an Apple employee at a California bar.
New features include a video chat camera, a higher-resolution display and longer battery life.
The following week, financial Web site The Street leaked specifications about two new BlackBerry models — the Bold 9650 and Pearl 3G. This leak was less of a surprise, as rumors about the devices had circulated for several months, and manufacturer Research in Motion formally unveiled the devices a few hours later.
