New law will help protect industrial control systems

Recently passed legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives aims to protect industrial control systems (ICS) from digital threats.

The bill would require the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC) to work with ICS operators to discover threats and keep critical infrastructure running even in the case of an attack.

This bill was introduced after Russia attempted to hack U.S. energy infrastructure and is meant to mitigate the risks industrial systems face.
