Any companies still using Microsoft’s Office XP software suite should be ready to upgrade within the next few months.
Office XP, which was first introduced nearly 10 years ago, will receive its last patch on Tuesday, July 12. That means the suite won’t get any more security updates after that.
The schedule is in line with Microsoft’s practice of supporting products for 10 years after they’re released.
Microsoft issued 18 security patches for Office XP in 2010.
