IT struggling to support mobile workers

Is your department having a tough time meeting the demands of an increasingly mobile user base? If so, you aren’t alone.

Many companies are struggling to support the growing number of users who work remotely, according to a recent survey by network optimization vendor Riverbed Technology.

Among the IT managers surveyed, 27% said their users regularly experience problems when working away from the office.

And things aren’t likely to get easier any time soon. More than half (52%) of the respondents said their business has seen an increase in remote work over the last year. Because of that, 32% said support calls from remote workers have become more frequent, and 46% said the cost of managing remote users has increased over the last 12 months.
