Hotel hackers hijack data of 124K customers

Business travel may have just gotten a bit more complicated.

Hackers exploited a flaw in a FastBooking server to plant malware and steal personal information from 124,963 customers.

Guests who stayed at any Prince Hotel location from May to August 2017 could be affected, specifically those who booked rooms through the company’s foreign language website.

The information stolen included names, phone numbers, email addresses, booking details and payment card data.

The hack occurred last month and the website, run by Fastbooking, has been temporarily closed.
