If your organization is still running these aging pieces of software, they could start putting your network at risk.
Microsoft’s Office XP and Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) will both receive their final security updates next Tuesday, July 12. That means any vulnerabilities discovered after that will remain dangerously unpatched.
IT departments supporting machines running Vista should check to make sure they have been upgraded to SP2. If not, download the service pack from Microsoft here.
And if you’re running the 10-year-old Office XP, upgrading to a newer version of the software suite could avoid some serious security issues.
