Are you leaving this common security hole open for attackers?
SANS Institute security researcher Daniel Wesemann recently warned computer users to patch or update their Java installations.
Java exploits are at an all-time high. One reason, according to Wesemann: Java is installed on almost every Windows PC, yet people are much less diligent about keeping up-to-date on Java updates as they are their Windows patches.
As we reported last month, many computers are running vulnerable editions of Java.
Wesemann’s warning rings especially true in light of Oracle’s recent critical update advisory. In total, Oracle fixed 29 security flaws for Java in October.
